All A-board...

All aboard the skate board that is, as it seems golfers are jumping on the bandwagon.

Check out the new boards that allow golfers to 'surf' around the golf course. Forget the golf buggy - pretty soon the motorised golf skateboard will be where it's at.

The boards were invented by an 80 year old American entrepreneur who's aim was to make the game more appealing to a younger audience.

Golf Boards are designed to last for up to 36 holes and have a gear box at either end or the board. The speed of the board is controlled by a hand held device and the board is made to help golfers cruise over the varied terrains of the course.

The feel of these new boards is said to be similar to that of a skateboard, snowboard, etc.

Does the Golf Board inspire you to play golf?

Will these new boards revolutionise golf in the way snowboards revolutionised skiing?

We will no doubt see over the coming year as the Golf Board will be launched in February 2014.

However, golf aside, lets just sit back and imagine trying one of these motorised boards out at the skate park...  I think it's best to leave it there.
