Here at Urban Surfer, we want to tell you more about our awesome brands. After giving you a history lesson on Metal Mulisha last week, we're moving on to Converse.

So... Who hasn't heard of Converse? They're one of the biggest clothing and footwear companies in the world. Here at Urban Surfer, they're one of our best sellers.

Founded in 1908 in Massachusetts, the company grew rapidly though the main turning point was in 1921, when a certain Chuck Taylor joined the company. The Basketball player headed to Converse HQ complaining of sore feet. He was given a job. He traveled around the USA promoting and selling the firms basketball shoes.

Taylor's signature All Star shoe was added to the company portfolio in 1932. Coming in a huge range of colours, the shoes are still hugely popular today. From men to women, pink to grey, the All Star range have a style for everyone. They even come in little booties for babies!

Of course it's not just All Star shoes that are manufactured. Converse also have a range of collaborations with music stars and comic book heroes - Gorillaz and Superman to name a few! They also make a range of Star Player shoes (and more) as well as clothing. Tee's, jackets, jumpers and a whole lot more are also made by Converse.
