Here at Urban Surfer, we want to tell you more about our awesome brands. Today - we tell you a little bit more about Merc!
I think it's fair to say Merc is different to most of our brands. It's a British heritage brand. Established in 1967 when Javid Alavi opened a market stall in Carnaby Street, It's now grown to a huge clothing line worn around the world. Originally creating Mod inspired clothing, the company has now adapted to suit more styles.
Originally stocking brands like Fred Perry and Lonsdale, this was stopped to allow concentration on their own products including their polo shirts, harrington jackets, Parkas and tees.
So - 2013. The iconic brand has left the place where it all started - Carnaby Street. Now, the brand is purely focused on online development in an attempt for world domination (of sorts). The brand will also be focusing on mobile sales - developing an app to allow purchases on the go.
