I can’t believe it’s the first week of June already. It felt like the longest winter, although not particularly cold, it was just so loooong!
The spring feels as though it’s not quite got cracking just yet. We have had a few nicer days, I suppose it depends where you're living. As I write this I hear the Lake District is beautiful and warm right now. I am in the North East, need I say more?
Despite that I am hoping we get more sunnier days, it brightens us up a little I think, I get out on longer walks, I want to plan more, I eat more cake (not ideal) and I can’t wait for that cold glass of shandy at the end of a lovely 10 mile walk on a Saturday afternoon. Speaking of the Lake District, I did this last week with my husband. The Derwent 10 mile circular was wonderful, everyone was out eating their homemade picnics, swimming in the lake, hiking and just enjoying some down time.
I wish every day could be like this but sadly we have to work and earn our keep and do normal daily things but I guess this is what keeps us grounded and grateful, right?
So what’s next, holidays? I hope whether it be domestic or overseas you all do get a little time away, it’s good for the soul. We’re off to Wales this year, I can’t wait for the Brecon Beacons and Pembroke, it’s going to be great exploring. I am in need of some new clothing as I have some pretty tattered walking shoes and trousers that have seen better days. I suppose most folks will be looking at flip flops and shorts but I doubt I will be needing any of that this year. Beach days do sound nice though don’t they?
I am lucky as I can look straight at our range of leggings and tees from Jack Wolfskin to keep me going for my kind of holiday. They also do plenty of summer beach items as well. They cater for pretty much everyone.
